Recent leaks suggest that the upcoming Version 3.5 banner will introduce two new characters: Hysilens and Cerydra, and will feature reruns of Silver Wolf and Kafka. Let's dive into the details and explore what we know so far about these intriguing newcomers!

HSR 3.5 Release Date

Based on the game's typical six-week update cycle, Version 3.5 is expected to go live around August 12, 2025.

The 3.5 Version Preview Livestream will be held on August 2 at 7:30 PM (UTC+8).
The livestream will feature in-game showcases of Hysilens and Cerydra, including their kits and skill showcase, as well as reveal the banner schedule for the version.

Version 3.5 of Honkai: Star Rail will introduce two brand-new 5-star characters: Hysilens and Cerydra, both members of the Chrysos Heirs faction.

3.5 Banner New Characters

Phase 1: Hysilens

"Helektra? That name has long since sunk into the depths of the past... Ah, it's you, little gray fry. Call me Hysilens. I am the Knight Commander of the holy city, and I will remain on watch — I will not let the storms of fate cloud your eyes.

Hysilens is poised to become a 5-star Physical character following the Path of Nihility. As a member of the Chrysos Heirs, she will introduce a distinct aesthetic and innovative combat mechanics to the game.

According to leaks, Hysilens is positioned as a Bleed-focused DoT Support, featuring mechanics for damage stacking and detonation triggers. Paired with Hyacine (Healer) from Version 3.3, she will complete the ultimate DoT team composition: Kafka + Black Swan + Hysilens + Hyacine. This setup aims to resolve current team issues such as slow damage ramp-up and insufficient damage output, solidifying a cohesive DoT meta-system.

However, if you do not have Kafka and Black Swan, it is not recommended to pull for Hysilens alone, as from a DOT perspective, her single-target damage numbers are relatively weak. However, if you really like her, feel free to pull without hesitation.

Phase 2: Cerydra

"'Flamebearer,' 'Tyrant,' 'Empress,' 'Supreme Commander,' 'Imperator'... The world has given me countless titles, but you may simply call me by my true name — Cerydra."

Cerydra, one of the Twelve Golden Scions, will debut in the second phase of Version 3.5. With her snow-white hair and sapphire-black attire, she is a 5-star Wind character aligned with the Harmony path. As the second Harmony Support unit after Tribbie in 3.x version, Cerydra owns high pulling value.

According to the leaks, Cerydra excels in buffing for thet SPD and Energy Regen of allies. Also, the leaks confirm her role as a dedicated teammate for Phainon, synergizing well with this powerful DPS. 

When Cerydra is off the field, characters holding the “Noble” buff deal 10% increased elemental resistance penetration with their skill damage, making her an even better fit with Phainon.

Many players compare Cerydra with Cyrene since both lean toward being versatile support characters. Cerydra is not only servied to assist Phainon; once she leaves the testing server, we'll know which team she fits best with. Cyrene is a must-pull for many players because she can benefit a wide range of team compositions. We'll only know for sure once they are officially released.

3.5 Banner Rerun Characters Prediction

Version 3.4 brings buffs for 4 old characters, including reruns of Silver Wolf and Kafka in version3.5.

Phase 1 — Kafka

Kafka's buff greatly strengthens her detonation ability and chain output potential: her additional attacks can now trigger all DoT effects and automatically activate when teammates use skills.
Moreover, if enemies die while in an “Electrified” state, she will trigger an extra follow-up attack, further expanding the damage chain.

Phase 2 — Silver Wolf

The recent buff allows Silver Wolf to unleash her ultimate skill on the very first turn, significantly improving her opening tempo and skill rotation efficiency.

Her ultimate skill has been changed to a group-wide defense reduction with no reduction in values, making it better suited for the current multi-target environment.

Additionally, her skill now prioritizes applying the main DPS's weakness, enhancing team synergy.
