Content
General Introduction
Pyro is one of the 7 elements in Genshin Impact and is one of the two most offensively powerful elements in the game alongside Cyro. The Pyro element in general focuses on enabling different Pyro Elemental reactions in order to boost the damage output of the Pyro main DPS character, boosting attack and overall damage.
Thanks to how universal the Pyro Resonance is that provides an Attack buff to the entire team, building a team that consist of at least 1 Pyro characters is generally really easy with how offensive the element is with all the best supportive abilities.
In the current Genshin Impact Meta, there are generally 4 different types of best teams for Pyro Centric characters and Pyro elemental reactions: Vaporize Teams, Freeze Team, Overload Teams, and Pyro Specialist Teams. Each of these teams have their own quirks and characters that specialize in enabling the different teams for the main DPS, so players should consider carefully which team to invest in based on the main Pyro DPS that you want to use.

Best Vaporize Teams
The Vaporize teams in Genshin Impact utilize the 2 different elements of Hydro and Pyro in order to take full advantage of the strong Vaporize reaction occurring between the two elements to allow the Pyro main DPS to deal massive amounts of damage in an instance. Generally speaking, the main component of a Vaporize team will consist of 2 Pyro characters, 1 Main DPS and 1 Support, 1 to 2 Hydro Characters to buff and support the team and 1 Anemo character to help facilitate the reactions better and buff the team depending on the team.
Some of the best Vaporize centric teams in Genshin Impact for the different DPS characters are:
Mavuika Vaporize Burst Team
|
|
|
|
---|---|---|---|
Mavuika |
Bennett |
Furina |
Xilonen |
Main DPS |
Pyro Support |
Hydro Enabler/ Support |
Support |
The Mavuika Vaporize Burst team focuses on providing Mavuika with huge damage buffs by incorporating 3 different damage supports in the form of Bennett, Furina and Xilonen, with Furina providing good off-field Hydro familiars for Hydro application needed for Mavuika to trigger the Vaporize Elemental Reaction. This team performs even better if Bennett is at C6, allowing Mavuika to infuse all of her attacks with Pyro, helping to improve her on field DPS even more with more powerful Pyro buffs.
Arlecchino/Hutao Charge Attack Vaporize Team
|
|
|
|
---|---|---|---|
Arlecchino/ Hutao |
Bennett |
Furina |
Xilonen |
Main DPS |
Pyro Support |
Hydro Enabler/ Support |
Support |
Functions similarly to the Mavuika Vaporize team, and due to how Hutao and Arlecchino’s skill kit works similarly to each other, the Arlecchino/ Hutao Hypercarry Vaporize Team focuses on enabling Arlecchino or Hutao by providing them with as much Damage buffs as possible while allowing Furina to apply the Hydro mark on the enemies with her familiars in order to facilitate the Vaporize elemental reactions.
Please note that the timing for this team is quite difficult as you will need to use Arlecchino and Hutao’s Charge Attacks to deal as much damage as possible while the Hydro mark is on the enemies.
Additionally, due to how Arlecchino’s kit works, healing her might prove difficult with the Bond of Life debuff, so be careful when facing boss enemies.
Yoimiya Normal Attack Team
|
|
|
|
---|---|---|---|
Yoimiya |
Yelan |
Yun Jin |
Bennett |
Main DPS |
Hydro Enabler |
Normal Attack Support |
Pyro Support |
Despite being slightly behind other Pyro Main DPS characters, Yoimiya is one of the few Pyro Main DPS that focuses on normal attacking and is one of the few Pyro DPS that can attack enemies from a range, allowing her to deal quick damage in succession to enemies.
The Yoimiya team focuses on her normal attacks coupled with Yelan’s ultimate that activates when allies normal attacks, allowing Yoimiya to constantly deal Vaporize damage to enemies. This coupled with Yun Jin’s normal attack speed buff and Bennett’s Attack buff allow Yoimiya to deal a high amount of normal attack damage every rotation.
F2P Vaporize Team
|
|
|
|
---|---|---|---|
Xiangling |
Xingqiu |
Bennett |
Dahlia |
Main DPS |
Hydro Enabler |
Pyro Buffer |
Hydro |
The F2P Vaporize team is one of the most flexible teams in the history of Genshin, commonly known as the National team. The team consists of Genshin Impact’s 3 best 4* characters: Bennett, Xiangling and Xinqiu, with either Xiangling or Bennett serving as the main DPS for the team with Bennett’s C6 active.
Generally speaking, this team focuses on allowing the team to enable different kinds of Vaporize team, so the role of the 4th slot can be adjusted accordingly with high level Pyro Main DPS characters or other support characters depending on the characters that the players have access to. For this example, we will slot in Dahlia as a good F2P option to consider.

Best Melt Teams
The Melt team in Genshin Impact prefers the way a Pyro centric team would take advantage of the high damage modifiers of the Pyro + Cryo Elemental Reaction to deal massive amounts of Pyro damage in a single instance. Due to this, the order of applying the Pyro and Cryo mark is extremely important in this team, so players should preferably bring a good Cryo off-field enabler to boost the power of the Pyro on field DPS damage. Additionally, players can also bring additional Hydro characters to help initiate the Freeze Elemental reactions first, crowd controlling the enemies in place before dealing Pyro damage to them to trigger the Melt reaction.
Additionally, due to how the Melt reaction works, it is highly beneficial for players to bring 2 Pyro characters for the Pyro Resonance effect, allowing the team to gain even more Attack.
Mavuika Melt Team
|
|
|
|
---|---|---|---|
Mavuika |
Citlali |
Xilonen |
Bennett |
Main DPS |
Cyro Enabler |
Support |
Support/ Sustain |
Once again, as the premium Pyro DPS option in the game, Mavuika has her own dedicated Melt team consisting of different characters that enables her Nightsoul ability by having Nightsoul states themselves like Citlali and Xilonen.
This team focuses on taking full advantage of Citlali’s off field Cryo shield that allow her to reduce enemies’ Pyro resistance, Xilonen and Bennett’s Strong Attack buffing abilities to boost the damage of Mavuika to the maximum, allowing Mavuika to use her Elemental Burst as frequently as possible while on field.
Arlecchino/ Hutao Charge Attack Melt Team
|
|
|
|
---|---|---|---|
Arlecchino/ Hutao |
Citlali |
Xilonen |
Bennett |
Main DPS |
Cryo Enabler |
Support |
Support/ Sustain |
Functioning similarly to the Mavuika Melt Team, Arlecchino and Hutao’s version of the Melt team consists of the same team members as Mavuika’s team with the purpose of buffing their damage as high as possible while taking full advantage of her on field damage output.
If you are running 2 different Pyro teams and don’t want to use the same teammates for Mavuika and Arlecchino/ Hutao, you can consider replacing Xilonen with Furina, Citlali with Charlotte and Bennett with Kazuha to still have a good damaging team with suitable buffs.
F2P Melt Team
|
|
|
|
---|---|---|---|
Bennett |
Charlotte |
Xiangling |
Sucrose |
Main DPS |
Cryo Enabler |
Support |
Support |
The F2P Melt team focuses on constantly dealing Pyro damage on enemies and helps the team alternate between Melt and Reverse Melt elemental reactions, boosting both the different Cryo and Pyro damage instances. This team can be done with Charlotte’s constant Cyro normal attacks and her powerful long lasting Elemental Burst that inflict Cryo onto the enemies with the help of both Sucrose and Xiangling’s off field abilities to help boost the damage output and reduce enemies’ resistances.
Bennett or Xiangling can serve as the main DPS for the F2P thanks to Bennett’s strong damage buffing ability and his C6 allowing him to infuse melee character’s normal attacks with the pyro element.

Best Overload Teams
The Overload teams in Genshin Impact are generally less used than the Melt or Vaporize team due to their overall difficulty to use, especially against large groups of enemies since it is hard to control the enemies when they are inflicted with the Overload Elemental Reaction. These teams mainly consist of at least 2 Pyro characters and 1 Electro character to trigger the reaction.
However, thanks to the release of several brand new 4* support characters that cater to this elemental reaction specifically, certain Main Pyro DPS characters can help to make good Overload teams for different bosses and situations.
Mavuika Overload Team
|
|
|
|
---|---|---|---|
Mavuika |
Ororon |
Chevreuse |
Bennett |
Main DPS |
Electro Enabler |
Sub DPS |
Support/ Sustain |
This overload team focuses on alternating between two different on field DPS characters that help deal big damage to enemies while also triggering the Overload reaction - Mavuika and Chevreuse. The Electro enabler for this team will be Ororon with his ability to boost the damage output of Overload damage while also providing Nightsoul energy to Mavuika. By inflicting enemies with Ororon’s Electro marks and alternating between Mavuika and Chevreuse on stage, you will be able to deal big damage to enemies with the Overload reaction while being buffed by Bennett.
F2P Overload Team
|
|
|
|
---|---|---|---|
Chevreuse |
Ororon |
Iansan |
Bennett |
Main DPS |
Electro Enabler |
Support |
Support/ Sustain |
For the F2P Overload team, Chevreuse will serve as the main on field DPS taking full advantage of the different attack buffs and Overload damage boosting effects of Ororon, Iansan and Bennett, helping to deal big instances of damage as long as there are still Electro marks on the enemies.
Best Pyro Specialist Teams
Pyro Specialist teams mainly prefer teams that don't rely on different elemental reactions to boost their damage but instead rely solely on different sources of Pyro buffs or different unique skill kits of the Pyro Main DPS to deal with enemies with minimal elemental reaction triggers.
Lyney Pyro Team
|
|
|
|
---|---|---|---|
Lyney |
Xiangling |
Kazuha |
Bennett |
Main DPS |
Sub DPS |
Support |
Support/ Sustain |
Unlike other Main Pyro DPS that focus on utilizing different elemental reactions to boost their damage output, Lyney is the outlier due to his talent that boost his Pyro damage output when his team consists of other Pyro element characters.
Additionally, due to his Charge Attack and Elemental Burst reliant skill kit, it is better to buff him with various different buffs from Kazuha and Bennett while supplementing his damage while he charges his Charge Attacks with Xiangling’s off field Pyronado.
Gaming Plunging Attack Team
|
|
|
|
---|---|---|---|
Gaming |
Xiangling |
Xianyun |
Bennett |
Main DPS |
Sub DPS |
Support |
Support/ Sustain |
In a similar vein to Lyney’s Pyro Team, Gaming’s unique Plunging based gameplay makes it generally more difficult to make full use of the different elemental reactions. Therefore, for Gaming plunging teams, players will be making full use of Bennett’s attack buff, Xianyun’s Plunging attack buff and powerful ability to help boost his damage as high as possible while he is on field without needing to trigger elemental reactions.
To supplement Gaming’s damage even further, players can use either Xiangling or Furina to help deal off field damage while Gaming does his combo.
Conclusion
With the return of Pyro Archon and the rumored upcoming release of a brand new extremely powerful Pyro support and a brand new Pyro DPS character, we hope that this guide have been able to provide players with the best Pyro characters to invest in Genshin Impact for the best performance in different end game contents.
