Content
General Introduction
Hydro, alongside Electro, is one of the most reactive Elements among the 7 elements in Genshin Impact, with various important Elemental Reactions that help boost Hydro damage output as well as various Elemental reactions that persist through different enemies, allowing you to deal constant damage to enemies. A lot of the Hydro DPS characters are focused on dealing damage proportional to Max HP and the Hydro resonance effect also boosts the team’s Max HP.
Generally, the best Hydro teams in Genshin Impact are divided into different teams: Electro-Charged Hydro Team, Reverse Vaporize Teams, Bloom & Hyperbloom Teams and Hydro Specialist Teams.
While Freeze elemental reaction is one the more important elemental reaction for Hydro with Cryo, the elemental reaction is generally more beneficial for Cryo characters than Hydro ones, with no Hydro Main DPS takes full advantage of the reaction, so we won’t go over the different Freeze teams in this article. Players can check out the Cryo article for all the best Freeze teams in the game.

Best Electro-charged Hydro Teams
The Electro-charged Hydro team make use of different Hydro on field DPS and different Electro supports that boost the damage of Electro related reactions to help boost the damage of Electro-charge Reaction and deal constant damage to enemies.
The Electro-charged team is beneficial for both Hydro and Electro DPS characters, with various team comps utilizing different alternating Hydro and Electro DPS as Main and Sub DPS alongside Hydro and Electro Damage Buffers for the maximum damage output. Due to how the reaction works, it's best to bring only Electro and Hydro characters alongside generic support characters from the Anemo element in these kinds of teams.

Best Reversed Vaporize Teams
The Reverse Vaporize team takes advantage of the incredibly strong Hydro damage boost when triggering the Vaporize effect, allowing Hydro main DPS to deal massive amounts of damage to enemies inflicted with the Pyro Marks.
Due to how the Vaporize Elemental Reaction work and its instant trigger, it is highly recommended for Reverse Vaporize team to have 1 to 2 Hydro characters including the Main Hydro DPS, 1 to 2 Pyro characters - 1 Pyro enabler and 1 Support character of the Pyro element to trigger the Pyro reaction or 1 General Support character depending on the team comp. If the team’s Main Hydro DPS scales off Max HP, it's better to have 2 Hydro characters to trigger the Hydro Resonance effect.

Please note that for this team, due to how the timing for Reverse Vaporize to trigger is really short, it is important to pay attention to Furina’s Familiar’s attacks so that they don’t remove the Pyro marks on the enemies before Mualani attacks to maximize Mualani’s damage instances.

This team have Yunjin and Zhongli as the supports, with Yun Jin boosting both Normal attack damage and speed while Zhongli help to protect the team and reduce the enemies’ resistances to both elements.
This team counts on 2 different danage rotation:
- If Ayato Elemental Burst is up: Ayato uses his Elemental Burst --> Zhongli and Yunjin buffs --> Yoimiya takes the field to deal damage, filling her Elemental Burst Gauge
- If Yoimiya Elemental Burst is up: Yoimiya uses her Elemental Burst --> Zhongli and Yunjin buffs --> Ayato takes the field to deal damage, filling his Elemental Burst Gauge
Its a double rotation team comp rather than just switching the characters on to the field whenever Yunjin can easily achieve this 220% ER requirements on different ER% artifacts and Favonius Lance, which is her prefered weapon most of the time, in addition to the Geo energy that can be generated from Zhongli and his off field pillars as well

Best Bloom & Hyperbloom Teams
The bloom and hyperbloom teams are strong Hydro teams that take advantage of the strong Bloom reaction to deal massive amounts of Dendro damage to enemies. Players can supplement the damage even further by adding an Electro character with high Elemental Mastery to trigger Hyperbloom, quickening the damage process of the team.

The Hydro Specialized Teams prefer teams that don't rely on any elemental reactions and mainly focus on boosting the damage output of the single Hydro DPS character to the maximum to deal with powerful enemies instantly.
The specialized teams for Hydro mainly focuses on buffing the damage output of a single Hydro DPS by either reducing the enemies Hydro resistances massively or boosting the damage of the Main DPS to a ridiculous degree for them to be the hypercarry.
