S Tier

1. Tribbie (Quantum 5-star)

Tribbie is a standout Harmony unit  due to her unique contributions to any team, offering both supportive and offensive abilities to enhance team performance.

hsr tribbie

Team-Wide Buffs: Tribbie's Ultimate ability creates a zone that amplifies the team's overall damage output.

Follow-up Attacks: Tribbie's Talent allows her to perform follow-up attacks after teammates use their Ultimate, dealing Quantum damage to all enemies.

Energy Regeneration: Tribbie will regenerate energy at the start of the combat, and gain energy once allies attack enemies.

Versatility and Performance in Team Compositions:Tribbie's support shines particularly with AoE main DPS and life-based characters. She pairs exceptionally well with most new main DPS introduced in Version 3.0, including The Herta, Mydei, Castorice, and Phainon. Even in boss battles, she can concentrate the team's damage output, enhancing AoE DPS characters' ability to tackle tough bosses.

Standout Eidolon Value:Tribbie currently boasts the most impressive Eidolon 1. It delivers a massive boost to AoE main DPS, and even with single-target DPS, it guarantees a solid 24% undiluted bonus. This substantial overall improvement makes her the most worthwhile support to invest in for Eidolon upgrades.

2. Robin (Physical 5-star)

Robin is a strong Harmony due to her ability to make all allies take action immediately.

hsr robin

Team-Wide Buffs: When Robin enters the Concerto state, she will boost all allies's ATK and make them act immediately. Additionally, after each ally's attack, she deals additional Physical DMG to all enemies.

CRIT DMG Enhancement: Robin's Talent will increase all allies's CRIT DMG.

Energy Regeneration: According to her Talent, Robin regenerates 2 energy after each ally's attack. Additionally, when entering battle with her Technique active, a sphere forms around her for 15 seconds, allowing her to regenerate 5 energy at the start of each wave.

Synergy with Follow-Up Attack Teams: Robin’s ultimate skill, which advances the entire team’s turns, unlocks great potential in various lineups—particularly shining when paired with Feixiao’s follow-up attack team. She provides not only standard buffs but also exclusive bonuses for such teams, while the high-frequency attacks of follow-up lineups frequently trigger her additional damage, creating a mutually reinforcing loop.

Versatility in Single-Core Teams: Beyond follow-up setups, Robin excels in many single-core teams, including those built around Aglaea, Phainon, Yunli, and Jing Yuan. Her performance here underscores her status as a character that embodies the highest potential in manual gameplay.

3. Ruan Mei (Ice 5-star)

Ruan Mei is a distinguished Harmony support who excels in enhancing team performance and her versatility.

hsr ruan mei

Team-Wide Buffs: Ruan Mei's Skill increases all allies' damage and Weakness Break Efficiency, significantly boosting overall damage output.

All-Type RES penetration: Ruan Mei's Ultimate grants all allies all-type RES penetration, allowing them to deal more damage.

Enemy Action Delay: In the field of Ruan Mei's Ultimate, she will apply a debuff to enemies. When enemies attempt to recover from Weakness Break, the effect delays their action and deals additional Break DMG.

Robust Buff Kit and Versatility: Ruan Mei delivers exceptional buff multipliers, including a 50% toughness reduction—a highly coveted asset in break teams. She also provides full resistance penetration, damage boosts, and speed increases, striking a strong balance between versatility and raw strength.

Resurgent Viability Across Lineups: Previously confined mainly to break teams and fictional dual-core setups, Ruan Mei has seen a resurgence with the arrival of main DPS like Castorice and Mydei. She now serves as a high-quality alternative for players lacking Tribbie, with her mechanical strengths fully shining through in these new lineups.

4. Sunday (Imaginary 5-star)

Sunday is an exceptional choice for teams aiming to maximize damage output and maintain energy efficiency.

hsr sunday

Benefits Integrator: Sunday integrates the advantages of Bronya, Sparkle, and Tingyun, which are Energy regeneration, skill point recovery, turn manipulation, damage buffs, and increased CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG all in one.

King of the Summon Team: Sunday can evaluate the strength of the 1.x era Summoner Jing Yuan to the level of the 2.x. Not to mention the powerful summoner characters that will be released in the future.

Team Fit: While Sunday is mechanically tailored as a summon-focused support—granting turn advancement and powerful buffs to both main DPS and summons—he thrives in teams like Aglaea and Jing Yuan’s. His exceptional design also allows him to slot into lineups featuring Phainon and Saber, solidifying his place as a top-tier support on par with Tribbie.

Tip: Given that both Tribbie and Sunday are returning in Version 3.4, it’s wise to prioritize obtaining both if you can. Their ability to adapt across diverse team compositions makes them invaluable, ensuring flexibility no matter your lineup.

A Tier

1. Sparkle (Quantum 5-star)

Sparkle is a support unit that excels in damage boosts and CRIT DMG buffs but struggles in the current meta.

hsr sparkle

Skill points producer: Sparkle is able to grant bonus skill points and refresh them with her ultimate.

Limited DPS Synergy: Sparkle's main combos with Dan Heng IL and Acheron are less effective without her E2, limiting her versatility in team compositions.

Meta Struggler: Sparkle’s kit, focused on damage and CRIT buffs, is perfect for a single DPS team but feels outdated with the shift toward Break and summon teams.

Speed Requirement: To maximize her action advance, Sparkle needs to be built to nearly 160 speed, making her setup demanding.

Unique Mechanic and Skill Point Prowess: Sparkle stands out with a distinct mechanism: while her buff values aren’t the highest, she boasts the game’s strongest skill point generation capability. This makes her a great fit for skill point-heavy characters like Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae and Qingque, complementing their high consumption needs seamlessly.

Resurgence in Version 3.4: Notably, Archer—the free 3.4 character—feels tailor-made for Sparkle as a high skill point-consuming main DPS, relying heavily on her boosted skill point cap and regeneration. This synergy has pulled Sparkle out of her prior slump, allowing her to fully unleash her strengths in the current version.

2. Harmony Trailblazer (Imaginary 5-star)

Harmony Trailblazer (TB) is the premium support for Break teams.

hsr harmony trailblazer

Best F2P choice: A five-star character that can be obtained with all Eidolons for free, perfect for F2P players.

Once Unmatched Support: TB's ultimate can grant all allies' Super Break DMG when hitting weakness-broken enemies, allowing for high-damage output with minimal setup.

Limited DPS Synergy: The Harmony TB only performs well in Super Break Team, So if you don't have Sper Break DPS, TB is kind of useless.

Role in the Super Break System: As the pioneer of the super break system, the Harmony Trailblazer addressed a key flaw of break teams—their reliance on dealing damage only at the moment of breaking. However, with Fugue’s introduction, the Harmony Trailblazer has been largely overshadowed, with the Remembrance Trailblazer emerging as a stronger choice for Harmony-centric roles.

Ongoing Value for Non-Fugue Players: For those who haven’t obtained Fugue, the Harmony Trailblazer remains irreplaceable: it’s still one of only two supports (alongside Fugue) capable of enabling super breaks, solidifying its status as an essential top-tier pick in super break teams.

B Tier

1. Bronya (Wind 5-star)

Bronya is accessible to many players and renowned for her impactful support capabilities.

hsr bronya

Versatile Role: Bronya excels in hypercarry DPS setups, providing essential buffs that maximize the damage output of a single high-DPS character. She also has a great utility in dual DPS team and she is able to cleanse debuffs.

Benchmark for Harmony: Despite newer characters offering better scaling buffs, Bronya remains a solid choice for new players.

Core Strengths: Bronya, once a god-tier support at launch, wields a versatile toolkit: turn advancement, crowd control removal, damage boosts, and critical damage increases. These abilities significantly enhance a main DPS’s attack frequency and output ceiling, making her a robust support in various setups.

Drawbacks and Current Viability: Her major flaw lies in heavy skill point consumption, leaving her highly reliant on her signature light cone and Eidolon 1. However, with sufficient investment, Bronya still functions as a solid lower-tier alternative to Sunday, delivering worthwhile cost-effectiveness.

2.Tingyun (Lightning 4-star)

Tingyun is a versatile Harmony unit that remains a strong choice despite the rise of the newer 5-star characters.

hsr tingyun

Hypercarry Enabler: Tingyun's skill provides a 3 turn attack buff to allies while dealing consistent damage herself. Her Ult grants a damage bonus for 2turns and restores 50 energy to the target, it is a game changer, especially when refreshed every two to three turns with proper builds.

Hard to Obtain: Many players still not getting Tingyun like not having the strong LC "Dance! Dance! Dance!".

Limited by Lack of Action Advances: Tingyun's main drawbacks are her lack of action advances and CRIT DMG boosts, which limit her effectiveness in certain meta shifts.

Core Mechanics and Strengths: Tingyun, a 4-star Harmony character, boasts nearly flawless mechanics: she provides both attack and damage boost stats, while her energy regeneration mechanism streamlines team rotation. For single-core main DPS reliant on ultimate skill loops, she remains a high-quality support.

Shifting Viability Across Versions: After Version 2.0, Honkai: Star Rail’s push for systems like debuffs, follow-up attacks, and breaks—all bypassing single-DPS setups—caused Tingyun’s status to drop sharply. However, her fortunes rebounded with Phainon’s release in Version 3.4, allowing her to thrive again in teams with main DPS such as Phainon, Archer, and Anaxa.

C Tier

1. Hanya (Physical 4-star)

Hanya is the first Harmony character that hybrid character who debuffs enemies to increase team DMG while also helping generate skill points, known as "little Sparkle".

hsr hanya

Limited Utility: Hanya's Ult provides a 20% SPD boost and a 60% attack boost, but these benefits alone aren't enough to secure her a spot in most teams. Hanya’s overall supportive capability is fairly average in terms of buff strength, but she outperforms Yukong and Asta. In this regard, she can be considered a lower-tier alternative to Sparkle.

Outdated in the Current Meta: Hanya's kit feels outdated in the current game environment, where newer supports offer more efficient buffs, and her role as a debuffer and skill generator is overshadowed by more versatile options, making her a suboptimal choice for most teams. For players without Sparkle, Hanya carves out a role as a skill point-generating support in Archer’s team, marking her long-awaited return to relevance.

2. Asta (Fire 4-star)

Asta is a foundational Harmony unit that found new life with the rise of Break teams.

hsr asta

Early Game Staple: Asta is often one of the first Harmony units players use due to her simplicity and early-game effectiveness. Her ability to generate attack buffs and speed boosts makes her a solid choice initially.

Limited Long-Term Viability: For new players, Asta remains a useful asset—particularly in multi-core team setups—thanks to her ability to enhance team speed and attack. However, in the current meta, her overall investment value is low, as more specialized or powerful supports have overshadowed her basic utility.

Core Abilities and Basic Mechanics: Asta, a free 4-star Harmony character obtainable from the start, offers straightforward yet practical support: she boosts the entire team’s speed and attack. Her stat bonuses and mechanics are simple, making her easy to integrate into various team compositions.

3. Yukong (Imaginary 4-star)

Yukong is a great F2P option, despite initially being a niche unit.

hsr yukong

Powerful Buff: Yukong's kit is simple yet powerful, with her skill providing a 2-turn attack buff and her ultimate offering a significant boost to CRIT Rant and DMG.

Buff Coverage Limitation: Despite her strong buffs, Yukong has a notable flaw: her buff coverage is significantly lower than that of most other Harmony units. That said, her powerful buffs once enabled main DPS characters specializing in off-turn damage—such as Clara—to breeze through early-game content effortlessly for multiple versions. However, as newer versions introduced supports with more robust mechanics, Yukong’s value for investment has dwindled to nearly nothing.
