Content
General Introduction
Anemo is one of the 7 elements in Genshin Impact and together with Geo is considered one of the two most universal elements in the game due to the nature of the Elemental Reaction associated with the Element: Swirl. Swirl is a very interesting elemental reaction that scales mainly off Elemental Mastery with the ability to deal AoE damage to enemies when it comes into contact with other elements like Cryo/Hydro/Electro or Pyro and is considered one of the best elemental reactions in the game.
Due to the overall universal nature of the Anemo element that focuses on Crowd Controlling large groups of enemies and dealing AoE damage, the majority of the Anemo-centric teams are generally divided into 2 different categories: AoE Teams and Boss Fight Teams.
While it is common to use Anemo characters as more of a Sub DPS and Support character in many different team comps, we will focus mainly on the best Anemo teams with Anemo characters as the Main DPS to show players how to use their favorite element in the most offensive way possible.
Best Anemo AoE Teams
Anemo AoE Teams are teams generally used to fight against large groups of enemies in several different end game contents like Spiral Abyss or Imaginary Theater. These kinds of teams focuses on using the main Anemo DPS character to crowd control large groups of enemies with their powerful pull or gathering skill and elemental burst while also dealing damage to the enemies by initiating the Swirl Elemental Reaction with the help of other Off Field Elemental Enablers from the 4 elements of Cryo/Electro/Hydro and Pyro.
The AoE teams generally focuses on making use of the Swirl Elemental reaction, so the main DPS will mainly be built with Elemental Mastery in mind and often consists of 1 to 2 Anemo characters and at least 2 characters of the four elements of
Cryo/Electro/Hydro or Pyro to facilitate the Swirl Reactions.
Some of the best Anemo teams against large groups of enemies are:
Venti Archon Team

|
|
Venti |
Raiden Shogun |
Furina |
Mavuika |
Main DPS/ Sub DPS/ Support |
Electro Enabler/ Sub DPS |
Hydro Enabler/ Support |
Pyro Enabler/Sub DPS |
The Venti team is one of the few teams that have been going strong over the years with various modifications over the years with the release of stronger off field DPS options to help him fully utilize his powerful Crowd Control Elemental Burst. The team focuses on using Venti’s Elemental Burst to suck up large groups of mob enemies and infuse his Elemental Burst with one of the four elements in order to trigger different elemental reactions during the Elemental Burst’s Duration.
By using Raiden Shogun, Furina and Mavuika in the same team as Venti, this allows Venti to take full advantage of all 3’s off field abilities to trigger constant elemental reactions like Overload, Electro-charged and Vaporize while his Elemental Burst are on field. Additionally, players can also switch to either Raiden Shogun or Mavuika as the on field DPS at any time during Venti’s downtime.

Electro Enabler/ Sub DPS |
Hydro Enabler/ Support |
Pyro Enabler/Sub DPS |
Kazuha is one of the most versatile Anemo characters with the ability to both deal damage proportional to his Elemental Mastery and can be built with Critical stats. For this Kazuha centric team, the team focuses mainly on inflicting the enemies with different elemental marks with off field abilities from Furina, Raiden Shogun and Mavuika before using Kazuha’s Skill to do a plunge attack, gathering up enemies and dealing big Elemental reaction damage to them with his high Elemental Mastery stat.
Players can also boost his damage further and attack enemies from far away by using his Elemental Burst and infuse his burst with one of the 3 different elements to deal even more damage to enemies while boosting the team’s damage output.

|
Mizuki |
Raiden Shogun |
Furina |
Mavuika |

Electro Enabler/ Sub DPS |
Hydro Enabler/ Support |
Pyro Enabler/Sub DPS |
Functioning somewhat similarly to the Kazuha and Venti team, the Mizuki team have Mizuki as both the main DPS and the support with her powerful skill kit that boost Swirl damage. Coupled this with off field effects and buffs from the other characters in the team and you will be able to deal powerful Swirl damage and pull enemies together in a large area, helping to deal with large mobs of enemies.
However, players should keep in mind that Mizuki crowd control ability is less powerful than Venti and Kazuha, making it a bit harder to group enemies together, so you can use other Anemo options to help her as well.
F2P Swirl Team
|
|
|
|
Sucrose/ Lan Yan |
Xiangling |
Xingqiu |
Bennett |
Main DPS/ Sub DPS/ Support |
Sub DPS |
Hydro Enabler/ Support |
Support/ Sub DPS |
The F2P Swirl team is a team that takes advantage of Sucrose or Lan Yan’s ability to trigger Swirl and deal high Swirl damage to large groups of enemies thanks to their Elemental Mastery centric skill kit. This team doesn’t have an actual main DPS option as the main damage output of the team is from the Swirl elemental reaction and Sucrose or Lan Yan’s high Elemental Mastery builds. The main on field DPS can be switched to Xiangling or Bennett depending on the situations, with Sucrose remaining off field with her Elemental burst.
